I’ve been going through the horror of shingles since Jan 2nd. A late diagnosis followed at the docs more than a week later as I thought I had a back problem and that the rash on my buttock was caused by ice burns from an ice pack I’d used to try to ease the pain. Antivirals were prescribed but possibly didn’t work given that I didn’t get them at the first signs.
I’m still dealing with the intense pain in my kidney area, spine and buttock which I swear has been sent by Satan himself. The rash itself hasn’t been a bother and cleared up pretty quickly. I’ve tried everything, Theraneem cream, Turmeric/blackpepper supplements, homeopathic remedies, TENS machine, as well as the brain fogging codeine. I pray I’m not stuck with the after affects of this debilitating illness for life. On top of that I’m exhausted, my head wants to do something then when I try my body lets me down. A walk to my neighbours this morning had me near fainting.
Anyone got any feedback on this please? I’m feeling proper desperate here for some ray of hope that I’ll recover.
