What to do with Foodshare bread?

Has anybody got any experience of participating in a food share scheme?
Earlier in the week I signed up to collect unused bread and pastries (that would otherwise be for the bin) from a local baker. Once we’ve picked it up it’s ours to do with what we want.
Just collected my first consignment and I have 4 baguettes, 3 boules, a big loaf and four croissants. One day old, not stale, but you wouldn’t pick it up in the shop. Nothing a turn in the microwave wouldn’t sort, and perfectly fine for dunking into soup or toasting.
Has anybody experience of this? I have some friends coming round tonight who will all be leaving with a party bag of bread but longer term I’d like to give it to somewhere that might need it. I know most food banks can’t take perishable items but would a soup kitchen be interested?
