Coldsore?????

WellFunnyYouShouldSayThat · 01/02/2020 09:19

I haven't had a cold sore for 10 years.

Small lump appeared yesterday on inside of lip, has grown bigger and raised (like a cold sore) but it's not actually on the 'lip' part - it touches the border but is on the inside.

I've looked at cold sores pics (nice) and they all look like they start at the outer edges of the lip, mine starts inside the lip - so when my lips are closed you cannot see it.

Is this a dreaded cold sore or something else?

That is the sort of thing I would take to the pharmacist to get an opinion.

Sounds painful, poor you.

Could be, I get them up my nose as well as the lip but never inside the lip. Any other signs - tingling?

You probably can't treat it anyway if it's inside the mouth so just take precautions with regards spreading it until you know more i.e it blisters or you get it diagnosed.

Sympathies - horrible things

It's got a white blister and it doesn't tingle or isn't sore, if it were on the outside of my lip I would say it absolutely is - but it's on the inside, just touching the inner edge.

Anybody have experience with canker sores?

I'm not run down, in fact I've cut down on refined sugar, eating fruit and generally feeling and being healthier.
