I love a what are your weekend plans thread!
Everyone is still asleep here after a late night and I am on the sofa watching tv, drinking teas and mumsnetting!
Have got a relaxed Saturday, a bit of packing for a holiday next week, going to see a friend and then family over for dinner.
What are your plans?

I'm the first up one, enjoying a quiet cup of tea.

I'm working this morning, DH and I run our own business and we're swamped .... need to do around 4/5 hours of admin before it all starts again on Monday. Feeling a bit ground down by it all.

On a cheerier note, our puppy has had a nasty virus all week and been very off colour. This morning, she's been charging round like a loon and we've had a solid pooh! She looks happier in herself too. Happy days.

Bluesheep8 · 01/02/2020 07:37

Doing a 4 hr round trip to visit my DDad who is in a care home. He is no longer able to do anything for himself and can get very confused but there will be precious moments when he knows I'm there and is really glad to see me. Then home for chicken curry and wine.

Elouera · 01/02/2020 07:40

Having tomato/cheese on toast with a coffee then OH and myself driving 1hr away to look at more potential homes to buy by the seaside. Back later today though.

Elouera · 01/02/2020 07:41

I should clarify, we dont own multiple homes by the sea already! We have viewed several homes there before!

Millie2013 · 01/02/2020 07:43

I’m going out to sort the ponies soon, as they’ll be hangry (despite having hay left 🙄)
Then cooking breakfast, before taking DD to ballet
Apparently we are doing craft this afternoon 🙈 and I’m cooking chicken breasts in some kind of sauce for dinner. I bought pre prepped potatoes and veg to make it simple

confusedandemployed · 01/02/2020 07:43

Just having a coffee in bed. Lazy morning involving dog walk, supermarket run, shower then friends arriving. Up the rugby club for kick off 2.15, home for a takeaway later.

Pipandmum · 01/02/2020 07:50

My daughter would normally be fast asleep till noon (teen) but has open day at her school so has to go in and give tours etc for a few hours. My son at his girlfriends - his only day off in the week for him so bet he's still asleep too!
Lazy day for me - nothing planned (hurrah) so will catch up on Sunday newspapers (must have a couple weeks worth) and usual household chores.

surlycurly · 01/02/2020 07:52

I'm taking my teenagers to see other teenagers fight each other at Muay Thai. Then I'm going to Costco. I'm excited about Costco...

wendz86 · 01/02/2020 07:55

Having a cup of tea and bacon sandwich . Morning taken up with dance classes for both girls . Then got to go back to dance shop this afternoon to try some shoes as ones dd tried last week didn’t fit . Going to watch the greatest dancer tonight and said I’d treat girls to a sweet delivery .

bert3400 · 01/02/2020 07:56

I'm also packing, as the whole family is flying to Miami tomorrow. Can't wait to get on the beach and explore the Keys and South beach

Goldensunnydays81 · 01/02/2020 07:58

Glad the dog is better lis, poorly pets are horrible!
Blue hope you manage to get lots of lovely moments today!

Ds has just woke up and interrupted my peace! And he still isn’t big enough to make me more tea!!

Travelling to have lunch with an old friend - she’s getting married next year and I’m one of her bridesmaids. Going to tell her I’m pregnant Grin luckily she’s totally not a bridezilla, and the baby will be 7 months by the time of the wedding, so I’m hoping it’ll be received as good news! 🤞

Goldensunnydays81 · 01/02/2020 07:59

Surly I want a Costco near me but there isn’t one!

Oh Bert enjoy that sunshine!

Trying to work out how to entertain the kids today

Hubby away on a training course and I forgot to get dd's wheelchair out of his car. So it's going to be a day in.

I'm off to meet the Aunty and uncle we discovered last year after doing my family tree, apparently my grandad (passed away before I was born) had another family before marrying and settling down with my Nan that none of us knew about. Downside is my parents passed away 9 years ago so my mom never knew she had a sister.

MaureenMLove · 01/02/2020 08:04

I'm packing up my stuff and moving out! Grin. I've been living at my mothers for 2 loooong weeks, whilst my new house is getting ready for me. Today is the day. I've been drifting in and out of sleep since 3.30am and I've still got 2 and half hours until I need to meet the removal men at the lock up for all my stuff!

I'm excited at being able to get my own space again, but a bit melancholy that this needed to happen in the first place. It's been a long 18 months of not great stuff.

Onwards and upwards. I have my very own brexit going on! Grin

happypotamus · 01/02/2020 08:08

DC1's swimming lesson, making DC do homework, repeatedly threatening DC that, if they don't behave and do what I ask, we won't go out for dinner. Going to Wagamama later as it was DH's birthday in the week, they do vegan food for him and not vegan food for us, and DC have been talking about chopsticks this week (guessing they talked about them at school because of Chinese New Year) and want to try them out. Also, have to work out how to create a robot costume for DC to wear to school next week.

Littleshortcake · 01/02/2020 08:13

I'm going to a run shortly (new to it) and later dc have a play date. I have very little to do as I prepared dinner and cleaned the house yesterday (just have to cook rice to go with the curry) so I might browse in town. Also have to book holiday accommodation so it should be a nice day.

ChippyMinton · 01/02/2020 08:17

Will get up in a minute for a mug of tea and some sourdough toast.
Drop DC1 at their Saturday job.
Spend a few hours making patchwork with DC3 before they go to watch football with DH this afternoon.
Drop DC2 at his new Saturday job for induction.
Head home or might have a mooch around town before picking him up.
Chilli and nachos for dinner.

Morgan12 · 01/02/2020 08:19

Going to take the kids to a museum later after DS2 naps. He has been awake from 5am so I'm hoping he naps soon. Then out for late lunch/early dinner with my inlaws.

Will watch trashy TV tonight possibly with a baileys.

AreWeAnywhereNear · 01/02/2020 08:21

I'm up and just having a cuppa before I go to an exercise class, I shall return and argue with my darling teenager over WiFi/computer usage Hmm

Then I'm going to treat myself to a trip to Home Bargains - takeaway and wine tonight, it's been a long week!

ChippyMinton · 01/02/2020 08:21

Baileys is a good shout. I have an unopened bottle from Christmas -would it be nice in a decaf coffee?

lucysmam · 01/02/2020 08:26

I'm drinking tea in peace. Both girls are still sock on. I'll get dressed for my Saturday job shortly & leave dd2 with their dad for the day, dd1's off to town with her friend.

The house is reasonably tidy but the floors need doing & bathrooms need a once over at some point so I'll probably do one or the other after work.

We're having curry for tea (plain chicken for dd2) and might find a film to watch with the girls while I do some e-learning for work.

mathanxiety · 01/02/2020 08:31

Cleaning up the kitchen and bathroom, doing laundry.
Digging out the litter box. Oh joy.
Shifting a bookcase, putting all books back.
Manicure and pedicure later today.
Reading with a G&T even later.
