It is bullying and the amount of effort and deceit he put in points to a bit of an obsession with her which is creepy. He will make her more popular with her followers and martyr her. A stupid prank that he would not have done to a man.

I’m actually really bothered by this ‘prank’.
Don’t get me wrong I loath the woman.... but this has tipped over into bullying - if KH was doing this sort of thing we’d be outraged. It doesn’t make it right just because the ‘target’ of the bullying brought it on themselves.

Far better would be to ignore her and let her slink away in shame - she’ll turn up working some low level job for the rest of her days and missing what she had, and lost through her own behaviour, which seems a suitable punishment

She’s just so awful but I would prefer that she just loses all platforms to speak on. She lives to shock and publish her foul views. I feel so sorry for her kids. They must be monumentally embarrassed and ashamed of her.

I've always thought that her comments were awful but practical jokes make me uncomfortable. This was starting to seem cruel and I felt a bit sorry for her.

But I watched to the end and her acceptance speech was vile. Any sympathy that I'd begun to feel completely disappeared. It's hard to believe that she has so many followers who lap up the crap that she spews.

I don't understand why he went so much out of his way to do this. It must have cost a lot of money. Yes, she says the most abhorrent things, she truly does and that was exhibited in the speech she gave. I despise her. But why give her more publicity? Wow.

Why even give her an award. Ignoring her as much as is reasonable and not giving air time would probably annoy her more than anything.

The glee and gloating over this woman is sickening. She might well be vile; the rush to join her is baffling. Why would anybody even want to do that?

Katie Hopkins deserves it, I'd quite happily punt her into the Thames if I was given half a chance.

I don’t really understand why everyone thinks this is such a gotcha moment - she got a free trip to Prague, a meal, an award, a chance to air some more horrible opinions, and then it turned out to be fake. They didn’t even have the courage to tell her then and there that it was all rubbish. Such a weird, convoluted way to go about it.

I think it serves her right but i’m very upset about what she said about epileptics being weirdo’s. This is exactly the sort of thing that makes my anxiety sky rocket and although i’m having counselling to get over it this will probably set me back 🤦‍♀️ What a bitch.

There’s no way she didn’t know it was a set up. It was hardly a Derren Brown level of planning. They gave her a CUNT award so she tailored her speech accordingly.

I can’t stand her - who can? But this wasn’t funny or enjoyable. A couple of my fb shared it and I ignored it. It’s just sinking down to her level in my opinion.

If he expects her to change her behaviour after this I think he's in for a big disappointment. What a massive waste of time and money.

I was wondering if I was going to feel sorry for her, then she insulted my child for two things she has no control over. Nope vile human, if she is human. Not sure she qualifies anymore.

It was a cruel joke but it really exposed to me what a racist shit she is watching that clip. And I suspect I won’t be alone. Yes I know she was nasty but I blocked her on twitter and avoided anything about her. So I didn’t realise just how racist she was.

Why was she banned from Twitter?

All this stunt has done is to give her more air time. It's got us talking about her again when really, she should just fade away.

What was the ‘prank’ bit of this? She got flown to a nice place, had a nice meal. Got more publicity. Yes the award says Cunt, but so what. Was that it?

At first I was like hmm that must be so embarrassing , then I heard her speech and as an epileptic currently suffering in hospital whilst pregnant , I thought nah you stupid cow you deserve that slight embarrassment. I have a cousin with Autism, a best friend who’s Muslim, lots of friends who are within the LGBT community, everyone is different and that’s what makes us US so fuck you Katie !
