Pain and Numbness in Left Calf

Hi Ladies

Great to join this community :)

I am 5 months pregnant (21 weeks) with my first child, recently ive been experiencing really bad numbness in my left calf and im woken several times during the night because the pain is that bad.

Ive read online about DVT and there isnt any swelling or red patches, there is a sore area on my leg which hurts when pressed.
Before i seek medical advice can anyone let me know if they have experienced something similar?

Much appreciated

Hi ladies.

The pain significantly reduced the day after and I haven't had a numb leg in a couple of days. Will monitor for the next couple of days

hope it all stays ok, but I would still get advice from 111.

Worse case, leg clots can stop hurting when they move and then travel to the lungs. Keep an eye out for chest pain and shortness of breath.

I'd go to a doctor. I ignored leg pain and swelling when pregnant. Fortunately the dvt had only got to my groin.

Hi Ladies

I got myself checked and had a scan for DVT, after 2 rounds of Clexane they couldnt locate a blood clot, im shocked based on the amount of pain i was in. shock
Doctors only advised to take Tonic water and regular massages Hmm im still in alot of pain and get daily cramps in both legs, really surprising they couldnt recommend anything else.

Are your bloods upto date?

I had the same symptoms and I was low in foliate.

If it's of any reassurance, I had exactly the same types of cramps during both pregnancies - they're quite common (and v painful!). Good that you got it double-checked, though.
