I've been invited to a school reunion next month, and I want to look absolutely tip-top.

What are your best anti-aging tips/treatments/surgical procedures for a youthful, fresh look?

Botox is good but you have to be really careful and not overdo it so I'm not sure about doing it for the first time for an event like this.. (sorry, not super helpful I know).

Following for further tips!

MumWhoIsNotHappy · 30/01/2020 19:32

Don't have kids.

LittleScottish · 30/01/2020 20:10

Havent had any Botox yet, but I'm too late for the other tip - the damage is done! Grin

Botox, very moisturized skin and no grey hair.

BuddhaAtSea · 30/01/2020 20:17

Exercise, water and sleep. Good haircut, eyebrows threaded, a facial. Well fitted clothes. A peaceful mind.

I went to my 25th year reunion and I don’t think anybody judged anybody, we were just happy to see each other after so long. We reverted to giggly piss takers we were in high school but not aimed at each other, it was aimed at life and our own selves. And it was funny to ‘meet’ our teachers as grown ups: ‘yep, he’s still a duck’ or ‘yep, I still want to be her when I grow up’.
Just go be yourself.

Drink lots of water and retinol.

ReginaGeorgeous · 30/01/2020 20:29

*use retinol. Don't drink it!

MissGuernsey · 30/01/2020 20:38

There is a product called 'Midnight Secret' by Guerlain. Expensive but doesn't half brighten your face up!

stripeypillowcase · 30/01/2020 20:41

in one month - have a look at the princessing threads

I would go with a twice weekly chemical peel and a good moisturiser.
def a haircut. a good head of hair is the single best thing you can do to look your best.

Sazquatch · 30/01/2020 20:52

Twice WEEKLY chemical peel? Would you not end up with a raw face? 🤭

stripeypillowcase · 30/01/2020 21:01

chemical peel - whatever the pack says... the one I use (the ordinary) can be used twice a week.
so far I still have a face

Stompythedinosaur · 30/01/2020 21:08

Avoid having kids or working in the NHS!

EnidButton · 30/01/2020 22:03

Don't start using retinol a month before a big occasion. It can cause flakiness and make your skin look rubbish before it gets to the good bit and works. There's not enough time for it to make any positive difference.

Ditto twice weekly peel Shock

I'd go with a hair cut and colour (by a hairdresser you already know and trust), teeth whitening gel from the dentist, lvl lashes, new lipstick and watch some Lisa Eldridge make up videos for tips on getting a glowy look. Also Hannah Martin on Instagram does fresh glowy makeup and gives tips.

EnidButton · 30/01/2020 22:05

Oh and lay off the alcohol, sugar and eat less carbs (but still some. Carbs are nice!) It'll really help your skin.

Or just get some amazing shoes and a blow dry and have a fab time.

chipsandgin · 30/01/2020 22:08

Ah, was going to say don’t have kids too! Still, as that ship has sailed I’d go with a month of no booze, lots of sleep, a facial & a great haircut. Also remember everyone else has aged too

missboots · 30/01/2020 22:21

For those recommending chemical peels, can you recommend any in particular?

Camopetals · 30/01/2020 22:24

Ditch any matte make up for something with a bit of glow. Brightening eye drops. Lots of water. Big smile!

URPS · 30/01/2020 22:25

Water
Good clothes
Get hair/face fuzz/eye brows done
Get make up and hair done professionally.

elQuintoConyo · 30/01/2020 22:26

Clothes that fit - nothing worse then re-hoiking a bra strap, pulling at a skirt, fussing over blouse buttons that flash your tits! Nothing bobbly. Brush your hair, cut it if it needs a fresh cut. Neat finger nails, fresh colour or no colour.

Fuck the comments about no grey hair, mine is white and lush and I'm 44, I rock my silver Grin

PrincessHoneysuckle · 30/01/2020 22:29

Botox on your forehead and "11" lines. It really makes a difference.

ShagMeRiggins · 30/01/2020 22:34

What year reunion? 10, 20, 50...? Hmm

Echobelly · 30/01/2020 22:36

Not giving a toss works well for me!

Not sunbathing (never liked it)
