I need a bit of advice please. I received a job offer with the civil service. They initially asked for 2 character references and 1 employer reference. Since I'm not able to provide a character reference I asked if I could provide extra employment references instead and they said yes.
I've had another email to request character references, however had another one an hour later saying my checks were complete and someone would be in touch. Not sure whether to wait and see now, as I don't have a contact there's no one I can ask directly
I should probably provide the references just in case but I don't have anyone that could act as a character reference... it sounds strange but I don't. I only have an old lecturer from 10 years ago, but no email address for them
Has anyone else had a similar issue? Should I reply and state my situation and suggest providing extra job references?
