4yo. Bad ear, but on top top form, do I need to go to the docs

DD really grumpy yesterday, kept her off and lo and behold half way through the day there is discharge coming out of her ear and she perks up immediately.

She slept well, on tip top form this am. Do I need to take her to the docs? Not sure if they gives anti if there has been a perforarion

You can get anti bs for it after perforation, I did as a child (don't know if things have changed) but tbh now its perforated it should clear up on it's own. Obviously any discomfort I would take her asap

She needs antibiotics. The reason she's not in pain is because the ear drum has perforated and the pus can drain away. But she does need antibiotics and needs to see the GP or an out of hours GP today.

discharge coming out of her ear
yes, take her to the doctor. I wouldn't mess around with hearing.

Yes you need to go to Drs. I left an ear infection once because I felt fine. A few days later I was off sick on strong pain killers and antibiotics.

Thanks all. Will ring for appointment.
