Bras for small boobs

Fedupandpoor · 29/01/2020 16:35

I'm a 34b and really struggle to find decent padded bras that don't go all lumpy and misshapen after a few washes.

I don't need major padding, just a little bit as I have big nipples and don't like them showing through my clothes. I usually buy bras from primark and matalan so expect them to be crap but I'd like to invest in a few decent ones.

Following. My daughter’s very very petite, probably only a 28a, and would love to buy bras that fit. 32b seems to be the smallest. She quite likes slightly padded tshirt style bras, and they’re just too big. I know she can wear crop tops (her sister’s the same size and that’s what she does), but she wants to wear proper bras. She’s 21 but can fit in age 9-10 clothes.

There are companies making bras for bigger busts, but I don’t think any cater for small women.

If your dd has any breast tissue then she isn't an A cup.

booborbust.com try using this to get an idea of size

Francina670 · 29/01/2020 18:18

It’s all well and good saying that but I have very small breasts and a B cup in any bra I’ve ever tried just does not fit.

Maybe you need to measure using the link too. Your back size may be too big and therefore the cup is too small. A B cup can be a different volume depending on the back size e.g 30B has a smaller cup than 36B

Arrowfanatic · 29/01/2020 18:29

Bralets are my new favourite thing (I think I spelt that right). So comfortable, enough support and padding to be decent but dont go mis-shapen in the wash. I got some lovely ones from primark.

dementedpixie · 29/01/2020 18:30

P.s. An A cup means just 1 inch difference between under and over bust measurements which isnt much at all

ShinyGiratina · 29/01/2020 18:31

I tend to wear 32Bs as it is difficult to go lower on the back and upsize the cup. I do sit better in the few bras I have with C or D cups but they are rare to find. It is likely at 34B that you have more cup and a smaller back than you think.

I've got some teenage bras from M&S although the straps are a bit thin on the shoulders which can cut in on flesh softening with age!

Seeline · 29/01/2020 18:37

I was going to suggest the teen range from M&S. They do ones with wider straps too.

dementedpixie · 29/01/2020 18:45

www.bouxavenue.com/lingerie/bras/28b has 28 back bras

elc19 · 29/01/2020 18:49

All of my bras are from Victoria's Secret, fit is perfect, so comfortable, last years and can get really good deals in the sales!

TopOftheNaughtyList · 29/01/2020 18:55

I think @UnitedRoad and I have the same DD! Mine is also 21 and very petite - size 6 clothes and barely any breasts. She's an adult though and wants to wear a bra. Her back size is 28 so she's also been wearing a 28A with a padded cup but it's so difficult to get a bra with such a small back size.

Following this thread with interest.

Have you seen this site:

www.knowknockers.co.uk/

SiL was very happy with them as they design for small rather than just shrinking down larger designs.

KatharinaRosalie · 29/01/2020 19:37

try the calculator first. If I had a pound for every 'small boobs' thread where it turned out to be 30E instead of the 38A she had been wearing..

CatOnABeanbag · 29/01/2020 19:45

Seconding the boob or bust website for measuring. I wore a 34a throughout my teens thanks to a bra fitting lady in john lewis in the early 90s and wondered why I could.never find bras to fit. Obviously my body has changed over the years (age 43 and 2 kids) but I am actually a 30d and there's no way that my under bust measurement has ever been 34 inches.

Calvin Klein are good for smaller bra sizes. Tkmaxx, asos and figleaves quite often have them significantly reduced.

Haggisfish · 29/01/2020 19:46

I like gap T-shirt bras. Also a bra website called
Little women or some such

Haggisfish · 29/01/2020 19:47

And I did bra rescue measuring from style and beauty method here and changed from 34aa to 32b and they fit fabulously.

Mysocalledlifex · 29/01/2020 19:48

Ann summers basic 2 for £30 are the best im also 34b.they are padded.

gypsywater · 29/01/2020 19:52

Why is it so hard to imagine that some women genuinely do have v little breast tissue? Ffs

dollyknocker · 29/01/2020 19:55

Gilly Hicks from Hollister are my new favourites, although they are more lightly padded bralette. Primark always for normal bras. H&M also can be great. I agree that it is hard to find bras for very small breasts, bra shopping often reduces me to tears and I'm 43.

dementedpixie · 29/01/2020 19:56

Because a lot of women havent measured or been measured wrongly (some places add extra inches to the back size). Even a small amount of breast tissue will add up to more than an A cup

gypsywater · 29/01/2020 19:57

Why are there AA and A bras in the shops then? There must be a need for them? Like 32AA and 32A etc.

dementedpixie · 29/01/2020 20:02

Because places still measure badly. There is a lack of small backs with larger cup due to this. AA literally means that under and over bust are the same size. A is only 1 inch difference

Romanticrights · 29/01/2020 20:17

Shops measure and fit to the stock they have, PP are correct.. M&S and the like add at least 4 inches to back size. Plus cup size isn't static; 32b is the same cup size as 30c and 28d. Bratabase website gives real life photos of bra sizes; it's so interesting seeing that a 28f really isn't big at all! It's the same as 38b! The old measuring and adding inches stems from when bras had no give in the elastic. Bravissimo are usually correct and start at 28d I think? Boob or bust has a helpful calculator Smile

DropZoneOne · 29/01/2020 20:27

Try www.littlewomen.co.uk - lovely bras in tiny sizes

EvilPea · 29/01/2020 20:36

I was going to recommend ultimo. But they don’t exist anymore. They were recommended for me by a page 3 model and were awesome.
Pre kids I was tiny
H and m were good, m and s told me to not bother wearing one.

It is hard trying to find nice pretty underwear when your small though.
