What’s your current “new” old show?

We’re currently watching House for the first time that’s 15 years old. Previously was watching early seasons of Criminal Minds which were of a similar age. Any other old shows we can try next?

BohoBunney · 28/01/2020 23:15

Trailer Park Boys but I appreciate that humor is not for all lol.

Nothing2doo · 28/01/2020 23:21

Just finished binge-watching 'House of Cards' for the first time. I'm usually late to shows because I can't be bothered with the promo hype.

redastherose · 28/01/2020 23:42

Cardiac Arrest and Bodies. Hadn't seen the at the time but have enjoyed watching them.

Careersytype · 28/01/2020 23:46

Downton Abbey- I've just started it
😊😊

Nothing2doo · 28/01/2020 23:57

Watched Downton Abbey for the first time last year. Didn't want it to end.

PickAChew · 28/01/2020 23:59

Luther. Just on at the wrong time, first time around. Love the brick phones.

PickAChew · 28/01/2020 23:59

Also finally watched Detectorists all the way through but now sad it's finished.

Azura2019 · 29/01/2020 00:01

House!

RoomR0613 · 29/01/2020 00:01

The OC Grin

TheNestedIf · 29/01/2020 00:03

Also just did The Detectorists after enjoying Worzel Gummidge over Christmas. Love that programme.

Neednewwellies · 29/01/2020 00:04

I’ve just started watching Hill Street Blues and St Elsewhere. I have fond memories of my mum watching them when I was young and I remember a few little snippets very clearly. They’re quite gritty and undeniably 80s.

Taddda · 29/01/2020 00:18

I've got a few on my list that I'm hoping to get around to! Still haven't seen the last season of 'Dexter', but that was a binge watch a few years ago- some of the great ones I never got around to (Ive tried the first episode but they just seem a bit dated now-)
The Wire
True Blood
Heroes (saw the first season but would need to watch again)
Crashing (Loved Fleabag so high hopes!)
Flight of the Concords
Eastbound & Down
Oz
Penny Dreadful
Blacklist
Castle Rock

I'll never get around to most of them, any 'must see's' on my list anyone can highly recommend? (I'm loving 'The Outsider' atm, so annoying they're releasing one episode a week)

Heartofglass12345 · 29/01/2020 00:23

I recently finished Luther on iPlayer and happy valley on Netflix. Both really good!

Taddda · 29/01/2020 00:26

Happy Valley was amazing, totally had me gripped @Heartofglass12345 -

HappyExteriorSadInterior · 29/01/2020 00:27

As others have said, The Wire is fantastic.

I rewatched most of Lost recently, it was good apart from series 5 when I gave up!

notangelinajolie · 29/01/2020 00:27

Recently binge watched 'In the Line of Duty'.

Have never seen 'Cold Feet' but watched a few minutes of new series last week so I'm going to watch that next.

And adding to the really eclectic mix ... me and DH really loved 'Last Tango in Halifax'.

Llareggub · 29/01/2020 00:27

I started Big Love this evening after pondering Game of Thrones. Eight seasons of GoT seemed like quite a commitment though.

HappyExteriorSadInterior · 29/01/2020 00:27

I also agree Happy Valley is great. I've watched it 3 times!

InglouriousBasterd · 29/01/2020 00:32

DD has discovered Full House and Friends so I’m living in the 90s at the moment Grin
