After your name change, can you please help me to make a list of who needs to be contacted?

Because I have absolutely no idea… I am feeling a bit rough today, so I need a bit of help. And a hot chocolate…

I have,

HMRC,
My bank,?
My landlady…
Social services
Council tax

And how exactly do I go about telling them of my name change? Do I need to send them a copy of the deed poll?

Wow! It is nearly always legal to be known as two names as long as there is no intent to deceive. So you can transition when you are able, it doesn’t have to be instant.

Different organisations might need more evidence than others. Did you do the full-on £36 enrolled deed poll?

Gp

Excellent list from @hellcarryingahandbag. The only one I'd add is if you're a member of a union at work. I had to notify my employer inland revenue, pension trustees and the union all separately at work.

Hellokittymania · 28/01/2020 18:33

One episode I will do that too.
