Bloody Hermes!

Have used a day off to wait in for some parcels today from 2 different shops. I'm busy this weekend and have a funeral to go to which I needed some new clothes for. Get a text from Hermes for both parcels - your parcels have been delivered. NO THEY BLOODY HAVEN'T!! To add insult, when I click on 'view signature', someone's even signed using my first name Hmm Actually speaking to Hermes is nigh on impossible, so I've had to file claims with the shops instead. How on earth are they still actually trading? Useless company is an understatement.

Just needed a rant really!

Our Hermes driver was sacked for doing this, the GPS showed he was nowhere near our house.
In other news; the meter reader was sacked as well. turned out he'd been making it up for the last 2 years and I got a rebate of over £200 Grin

Well one of the shops have said they've spoke to hermes and they've stated although they've not been able to speak to the driver they can see the driver was in the area, apparently Hmm so why did he not deliver my bloody parcel? That's if they were telling the truth.

That's unreal about the meter reader - so he was just pretending to be out working hard when really he was sat on his arse all day?

I got a weird email from Hermes yesterday saying they'd delivered my parcel but i haven't ordered anything recently and was in hospital at the time of this delivery so i clicked on the info and it had my first and last name but was to a street 80 miles from my city that ive never heard of Confused

We were due to collect a parcel, my nephews Xmas present, on Xmas eve... The post office said the delivery driver had took it back with him, my tracking said it had been delivered to another post office, a few miles away that had SHUT DOWN and parcel force who were delivering it had shut for Xmas. Then we got an email day after boxing day to say the parcel had Infact arrived at the right post office that morning so the driver had probably run out of time and made out he had delivered it when he hadn't! I had this before with yodel too, item is delivered and placed in safe place, the porch... We don't have a porch!!! Parcel arrived later that night.
It might still turn up...

I also had another encounter with Hermesa few months back where the delivery driver said he tried to deliver 3 times which he did...3 times all at the same time Hmm so he literally stood and knocked 3 times and sent the parcel back to the seller! Seller was fuming as was i and Hermes despite seeing he made all 3 attempts at once did nothing

I've never had a problem with Hermes, both me and dh have used them a lot. We give safe space instructions and if we're not in they leave where we've asked, never lost or misplaced anything. It must be down to the individual (possibly self employed) drivers.

DHL is a different story... but mostly because they won't leave parcels and their depot miles away!

Well they've turned up! With my elderly parents - god knows how the driver knew we were related but they'd just delivered a parcel my mum was expecting said 'oh there's some for your daughter there too' and took off! They didnt know I was off work so didnt get in touch and were planning to drop them at mine later. The driver's definitely forged my signature. Thought these companies to deliver to our houses rather than drop them where it's convenient for the driver! Least I've got them now.

Could have been worse. Hermes once left my parcel ] on a driveway about 10 doors down. Luckily for me the Royal Mail postman noticed it picked it up and kindly delivered it to me. At least your Hermes man showed some kind of interest in ensuring it landed in the hands of your family even if not at the right house... still not good though.

Glad you've got it op

I think the meter reader had been doing the same round for about 3 years, we used to see him regularly than I didn't see him for ages. I got concerned and checked a bill, and it wasn't estimated, so I just assumed I'd missed him.
Then I got a letter from the energy company. He'd not been too far off with his guestimate. But yes, he'd just sat at home and made it all up for 2 years.
