High street clothes shops for larger men?

DH’s friend Peter is getting married in about 3 weeks, and DH and Peter are going shopping at the weekend to look for a wedding outfit for Peter.

He’s not got any formal clothes - doesn’t need any for work - and he’s planning on buying rather than renting a suit.

Peter is very large. DH is asking where’s good on the high street for formal wear for larger men?
I have no idea, but if menswear is anything like women’s wear, I’m guessing not all shops will have clothes for larger men on the shelves.

Can anyone give me the names of likely shops for DH and Peter to try?

Bad Rhino (usually within a Yours store) or High and Mighty are both high street. High and Mighty certainly do formal wear. Not sure about Bad Rhino - they do shirts, but not sure about full suits.

How large do you think he is? And is he tall as well as big? Because unfortunately not many shops have 50" jackets in stock to even try. High and Mighty will, and a very large M&S might have the odd one. DH has had some choice at Suits Direct in the past, but these days just buys on line - ASOS and Jacamo have a good choice, also Charles Tyrwitt

Peter’s average height. I’m not sure how big exactly, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he was needing a jacket size around 50”.

I’ll pass on the names of the suggested shops to DH, and give him a heads up that they might have more luck online, thank you!

I just had a look and Next have a good selection online up to 50. I'd be tempted for your DH to try measuring Peter and then order a few he likes the look of around that size into store so they can be returned straightaway
