Missing hotmail.com emails

Hi, can anyone help me to locate missing emails please? It seems i am missing emails from my mum, my motor insurer, my health care provider and and service provider. When they are sent to my husband's hotmail account he received them. It's very bizarre. These people aren't blocked, some emails do come through, but not the important ones. Had anyone else had this and managed to sort? Google isn't helping....

If you've had the email address for a long time you could check that they are using .com and not .co.uk. This happened to me at an update.

I find lots in my junk mail especially if it’s ones I get lots of but don’t open. Maybe check there?

I can't help you with this but I am having similar problems with my hotmail. Stuff from the club I belong to just isn't getting through to me, which is a massive problem as I'm a committee member! It's not in the junk folder either as I check frequently. I think I'll have to set up a new account with another provider, which is annoying.

Do you have any filters on the account? A few years back I had a spate of adult content spam still reaching the inbox. I set up some specific word filters that would funnel offending emails directly to the bin. Today I was searching for an email that I know was sent (it was from a photographer) with a link to Wetransfer and it ended up in the bin.

I'd check the spam folder OP, and confirm they have the right .com/uk address.

Check on desktop not your mobile, hotmail is rubbish on a android, and doesn't automatically download spam folder notifications.

Hotmail does that silly 'focused' inbox thing now where it just shows you emails it thinks ate important and hides everything else. It's obvious that it's doing it though and easy enough to show all the hidden emails so that's probably not the problem but thought I'd mention it just in case!

I’d check the senders have actually got your email address correct.

I keep getting emails for a woman in guernsey who seems to think my email is hers and I get loads for her. I’ve given up telling the senders as she continues to do it so her insurance renewal, her car service, her cleaner I know more about than she does
