Pontypandy insurance premiums and other questions raised by kids TV

Watching Fireman Sam with DS and started wondering how high insurance premiums would be due to fires every other week.

What kids TV questions have you pondered recently?

Why the hell all the houses in pontypandy are empty? Seriously is it a ghost town? No one else lives there!

Also what is the deal with the “train drivers” in Thomas? They have no control of what the trains do and seemingly do whatever the trains tell them to.
