So I have never made dumplings, that’s a task in itself!!! But I’ve made the casserole
In the slow cooker, so what do I do about cooking the dumplings?!

put them I the slow cooker for about 30 mins

Just make sure that the casserole in the slow cooker is fairly wet.

don't make them too large, they will double in size.

Or if you would prefer them crunchy on top then bake them in the oven (on a lined tray!) then pop them on the stew when they are ready.

Look up the marriage maker stew with cheesy dumplings. Delicious and perfect dumplings every time.

Use a bowl with steep sides, like a pudding bowl to combine the ingredients.
Half fat to flour.
Pinch of salt and, optional, a decent shake of mixed herbs.
Add cold water a tiny amount at a time and use a table knife to stir.
