Can anyone recommend me a smart watch please?

I have no idea what I'm looking for really!

I've got a budget of around £200 and I don't run or anything, I just want it for counting my daily steps to get more active, notifications etc.

I looked at the Fitbit Versa, but I think I prefer the look of round ones.

I've seen the Samsung Galaxy Active for £200. It seems quite nice, but is it a first generation one? There seems to be lots of other Samsung galaxy models up to £300 and I can't tell the difference between any of them really!

Also been looking at the Garmin Vivomove 3s.

I'm really not sure what to go for though, so wondered if anyone had any recommendations to help me decide please! Thanks 🙂

I've got a Fitbit Versa light and bought a silver strap for it to smarten it up for work. Counts steps well and buzzes to encourage you to take 250 steps each hour which is perfect for me. Also stops buzzing about steps in the evening while I'm watching TV Grin

I don't use it for exercise but I wanted something that would count steps at work. I don't really use it to read notifications etc as it's easier to do that on my phone but useful to feel when my phone is ringing.

I charge it every 3 days or so.

I thought it might be too big but it looks fine on me. And the straps are really easy to swap out

The vivomoves are pretty! I wanted one but needed GPS for running so went with the vivoactive but apart from a few of the fitness features I think they're pretty similar and I'm very happy with mine.

I have a fitbit for running and a michael kors sofie for everyday. Its runs on the app wear OS. It's really good for reading notifications and replying to messages. Fossil ones run on same software and are a bit cheaper I think but have the same look.

I had a garmin vivomove in rose gold and it looks amazing but it was too fancy for what I wanted and I found the garmin app rubbish, it constantly unpaired my watch and lost my data, read the reviews on the app and see for yourself before you decide.

I went back to fitbit and got a versa, it does enough for what I want and whilst it isn't as pretty as the garmin it's much more user friendly and reliable.

I wish I had read the reviews on the App Store beforehand, I never would have chosen the garmin if I had.

I have the Amazon very fit pro one for £31!

Does HR, steps, distance, kcal, receives notifications from phone (set up which ones from app). Records my sleep.
I can do sport on it if I want and has the reminders to take activity.

Unlike some smart watches you cannot answer the calls or messages. But tbh it lets me know what's come through and if need to answer or reply I have my phone for that!

That's really interesting, thanks for all the replies 🙂 I'll do some more research based on your recommendations!

@G3m81 I didn't even think about reading the app reviews!! And if I'm honest, I think that's the watch I was leaning towards because it's less inconspicuous and just looked so nice! So I'll def look at those reviews, thank you.
