Hi all, I’m new to this but have been told by some of my mam friends that this can be a great place for advice.
So, I found out on January 6th that I’m pregnant, I had my scan yesterday that confirmed I am 11 weeks and 2 days! The whole thing has been a huge shock but I am very very happy!
I can’t believe how far on I am.. and it has worried me as although I haven’t drank since January 6th, I did drink quite a lot over the Christmas, and in November as it was my sisters birthday and my partners birthday. I also drank on new year. So I’m freaking out.
I’ve heard horror stories and I’m terrified my baby will be born with feral alcohol syndrome. 😫 so annoyed at myself but I didn’t have a clue!!
I guess I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance? Has anyone been in a similar position?
Thanks! Abbie x

Don't listen to storyds because it will drive you insane!!!! I have 2 baby's anfpd I drank when I didn't know I was pregnant and my baby are absolutely fine. I obviously didnt drink when I knew.
But you will be fine ,you will get all the right checks done throughout your pregnancy and I'm sure everything will be ok😁 but try niy listen to different stories as it will do your head in.........but GOOD LUCK and congratsGrin

My friend gave birth on my birthday night out when we were a bit younger and she had no idea she was pregnant. And the baby was born full term so she’d gone the whole 40 weeks clueless , didn’t take vitamins , drank alcohol, smoked , didn’t watch her diet . Nothing ! Baby was born very healthy , no health problems , no defects etc . At 11 weeks you wouldn’t have done any damage to the baby and you’re only in the first trimester still so all is fine . Huge congrats ! Yay for getting Through some of the hardest weeks of pregnancy !!

Thank you so much guys!!! Yes they have been tricky, not a fan of this emotional rollercoaster or the joys of morning sickness... BUT in a way it makes me happy as it is a reminder that I have a little human inside of me!! Thank you so much ❤️
