Missed miscarriage

Hi lovelies! Im new to this but just looking for any advice! On the 7th january i had a scan at hospital, fetal pole measured 5.1mm. No heartbeat visable but could have been due to dates, wanted to rescan in 14 days. Me being impatient and wanted to know sooner rather than later because my mind was doing overtime, booked an early scan with ultrasound direct. Private scan was exactly 7 days later, we saw a little flicker on the screen sonographer told us thats babys heartbeat, now she measured and was now measuring 8.9mm. So had scan again at hospital on the 21st, hospital then told me the baby hasnt grown at all from the first measurement of 5.1mm And still no heartbeat, confirmed missed miscarriage. I am so confused as i emailed head office for ultrasound direct they have reviewed scan and spoke with the sonographer and they are extremely confident with the scan results that day. Now my head is rushing at a million miles an hour. How can i be getting two completely different outcomes?? If i can attach pictures i shall.

What an absolute head f**k!
Is there you could ask them for another scan and different sonographer or better yet go to a completely different ultra sound company?
I would definitely get a third opinion! X

@PixieDustt it is isnt it!! The hospital have booked me in for a D&C for the 31st! Refused to scan again before we go. Im almost certain that they measured yolk sac instead of baby! What she said was my pregnancy looks exactly like the yolk sac. I know hearts can stop, but its the measurements thats driving me crazy! The hospital also left me waiting for 25 mins waiting to get my scan photo, and said she couldnt attach measurements as it was against the law? The scans look totally different next to each other! How can one person say my baby has grown and is fine and then a week later someone tell me the complete opposite. I think your right, maybe a scan with a completely different company! What would you tell yourself? I told myself hospital were right to start with and private place had messed up somehow, but im really doubting the hospital at this exact moment. I just dont feel like anything is wrong, but ive never experienced a MMC before so thats maybe a normal feeling x

Even if it were sadly that you had a MMC I wouldn't go for the D&C until I had another scan with a completely different company and sonographer!
With being unsure there is no way that I could go to the hospital on the 31st because I was always think what if etc.
Is it against the law? I'm not sure it is.
Well one of them have got it wrong unfortunately you just need to figure out which one.
But if you go to the new scan and measurements are bigger than my god you have a case with the hospital for sure. I wouldn't let that one slip. Imagine how many others they told this and can't afford a private scan x

Wow OP. What a confusing time for you! I would also be booking another private scan. I really hope this works out for you!
