Wine tasting in Yorkshire?

SuperPixie247 · 24/01/2020 22:19

It is my DP's birthday coming up and I am fancying some sort of wine tasting experience as a gift.

Does anyone have any recommendations preferably in the Yorkshire area but may head across the Pennines for something worth it Smile

Thanks in advance!

I did a day with Yorkshire Wine School though it was a few years ago, it was very good.

Not many vineyards in Yorkshire. Rhubarb wine in Wakefield?

What about a weekend in the Loire?

I was more thinking in a nice hotel/bar to be honest! France is a little more expensive than I would like, would be a lovely mind!

I did one in York for my birthday a couple of years ago. It was great. I'll dig out some info tomorrow and either post it on here or PM you.
We spent about 4 days in York, and the wine testing was one evening, there's lots of great things to do there. 🍷

I've just looked at tayberts link, that's the one I did.

We did this at home and it was great

Holmfirth vineyards. You can't beat it.

Third suggestion of holmfirth vineyard! They have some nice holiday flats and the afternoon tea was amazing.
