It’s been a shitty old week and we’re all snotty and grotty today. What uplifting film can I watch on Netflix later?

I found Edie uplifting although I also cried in it!

SussexBornAndFed · 24/01/2020 15:50

Ooh! Haven’t seen that. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Dumplin

LadyR77 · 24/01/2020 15:59

Another vote for Dumplin'.

ClaraLane · 24/01/2020 16:00

I love Pride, Kinky Boots and Love Rosie but they all seem to have gone from Netflix now!

About Time is a good one but has sad moments.

TweetUsOnFacebook · 24/01/2020 17:53

Not sure if it's Netflix but we watched Green Book last weekend and loved it.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 24/01/2020 19:13

Dumplin is brilliant

spiderlight · 24/01/2020 19:14

Another recommendation for 'Edie' and 'Domplin'. I really enjoyed 'The Fundamentals of Caring' as well.

Ribenaberriesgowoo82 · 24/01/2020 19:26

Loved Dumplin'.

MrsTumbletap · 24/01/2020 19:27

Why is it that everybody loved about Dumplin? I thought it was average at best.

V1ckyCh1ck · 24/01/2020 19:27

Fighting with my Family

About Time is a lovely feel good film.

HetHetHet · 24/01/2020 19:33

I absolutely loved Wine Country. It's funny, smart and has a great female cast - Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph etc. I thought it was a real treat and have watched it a couple of times.

ZenNudist · 24/01/2020 19:34

About time and Dumplin are dross. Green book is fab.

Freddiefox · 24/01/2020 19:35

Sandy wexler loved it, great film

TheLastUNIC0RN · 24/01/2020 19:50

Definitely the upside. I haven't seen the US remake but the French one is one of my favourite films. Dumpling I thought was just ok.
Loved "fighting with my family" also

LuisaKelmen · 24/01/2020 19:54

Julia & Julia- 2009- but great movie, really enjoyed.🌻

Cohle · 24/01/2020 19:54

About time had me weeping buckets. I wouldn't watch it if you're feeling delicate.

HetHetHet · 24/01/2020 20:32

Cohle I feel the same about it - I really enjoyed the premise but watched it at a time in my life when the last 10 minutes of the film totally ruined it for me because of real life events.

Cohle · 24/01/2020 20:52

Spoiler for About Time

Yes, I really wouldn't watch it if anything has happened to your father OP. Thanks

pp12 · 24/01/2020 20:55

Diagnosis. Really uplifting at new ways rare medical issues are been solved. The first one with Angel had me in tears.

Nixee2231 · 24/01/2020 21:04

Fundamentals of caring was really wonderful and uplifting.
