When you're feeling a bit low? Nothing family or child orientated or outside of the home please.

Does my dog count? Seeing her smiley face makes me melt.

OCDaisy · 24/01/2020 08:29

A cup of tea in my favourite mug, wearing my pyjamas and watching something easy on the tele.

SunshineAvenue · 24/01/2020 08:42

I am feeling ten times better, had a look at Cake Wrecks, got in bed with hot cup of tea and listened to some podcasts. Asleep fairly early and about to go for a bracing walk, I do still feel a little bit off but hopefully the walk will help.

Walking my dog and then coming back to a warm cosy house - Dh will do a quick tidy up and get dinner going whilst I'm out walking (or vice versa).

Also, I have developed a bit of a candle obsession this Winter.

Ashtower · 24/01/2020 08:51

And a big mug of Green and Blacks hot choc!

SpamChaudFroid · 24/01/2020 09:06

A spliff Grin

My pets, not a day goes by without one of them doing something hilarious, (see pics).

Cooking something really nice for dinner - I think it important when you live alone (as I do) to treat yourself with extra care.

An indulgent scented candle. I have a gorgeous tobacco and amber one on the go atm.

My slanket Grin

Listening to music on my Samsung wireless earbuds - I used to struggle with headphones because I didn't like the feel of the cord, so was over the moon when these were invented.

I just love DIP for escapism. So sad Ardal is leaving mid way through this series and is replaced by Ralf Little.

Frokni · 24/01/2020 09:32

DH and I sitting together to watch tv for an hour or 2 at night together after girls are asleep! Either watching a movie or animation.

Isitreally77 · 24/01/2020 10:20

My cats snuggling up on my lap, they both fight over who gets it though.

Luckystar777 · 24/01/2020 10:25

Listening to music on my mp3

Reading a good book in bed

Playing an old video game like sonic

Colouring in or drawing

Taking photos if the moon is out, my camera has a good zoom on it :)

Browsing old things on ebay that I used to have as a kid

Luckystar777 · 24/01/2020 10:27

Forgot - watching dvds, comedies, any kind but currently Goldbergs makes me laugh

kemosabeimalone · 24/01/2020 10:29

Watching old episodes of Harry and Paul on your tube or anything by the League of Gentlemen. Pretend shopping on a big department site like John Lewis or Liberty ( I kitted out a whole imaginary bedroom yesterday). Eating odd pregnancy lady snacks like taramasalata (sp?) with grated cheese in, beetroot and salad cream or nice & spicy nik naks.

Kanga83 · 24/01/2020 10:32

When my husbands on night shifts and the kids are in bed I have the house to myself . I love a long hot shower, snuggly pj's , a blanket on the sofa and surrounded by a book, treats, and something trashy on telly. I used to hate him doing nights but now I make sure I really savour my 'me' time. All housework is left and it's all about me.

Quirrelsotherface · 24/01/2020 10:33

Bubble bath and a sip of wine.
Watching something on the iPad snuggled up in bed.
Going to bed an hour early with DH Grin

Bezalelle · 24/01/2020 10:36

Lying down on the sofa with a book or iPad, and having DCat immediately jump up and snuggle into me.

Osquito · 24/01/2020 10:40

-With luck, a good riotous thread on AIBU with a Zilla/cheeky fucker of some sort Blush
-showered, with big mug of tea, in a fresh bed with a new book

If I had a cat I’d just lie on the couch with it purring on me, my old pets always lifted my mood just being there (most people chat, with the best of intentions, and I find it draining)

BlackBlueBell · 24/01/2020 10:40

Go run yourself a nice hot shower, put some music on then sing and dance your heart out

Purplecatshopaholic · 24/01/2020 10:43

Taking my bra off. Getting into slouchy clothes and cosy socks, maybe with a blanket. Relaxing on loads of cushions on my sofa in the Snug (aka my spare room), with my dog and cats, either my iPad or a magazine, and the peace and quiet of trees rustling outside. Bliss

Greenglassteacup · 24/01/2020 10:46

Bath with essential oils while listening to a podcast or an audio book or music.

Going to bed early and reading a book in bed.

Greenglassteacup · 24/01/2020 10:49

Are you far from the coast? I find going to the coast every few months to walk by the sea sorts me out
