Any positives for going to west Scotland-Ayre to be precise in November for a week, with 2 children

All i can think of is the cold

What age are the children? What do your family enjoy doing? Yes, it’ll be cold. Why there and then?

Wont be any colder than the rest of Scotland.
Warm coats, hats, gloves, wellies or boots.
Heads of Ayr farm park is near Craig Tara holiday park
Burns cottage and all that stuff
Nice beaches
