Not sure if there's a thread, but the wonderful Python, co writer with Michael Palin from the very early 60's has passed away.
Just wanted to mention him and pay tribute to his work and life

Yes, another good one gone, sadly. RIP Terry.

I saw this today, I never met him but I feel really sad. His dementia rendering him unable to talk for the last few years was so cruel. Sad

Another comedy genius gone. Was terribly sad to read this today as he was a massive hero of mine. I saw the Python live show in 2015 and though he struggled with the words, was still very funny. A clever writer, director and physical actor. Unique.

Very sad, I'm glad you got to see him at the O2.
Have you seen the documentary about the show on Netflix.
It's wonderful!

The world was a happier place with him in it.

A sad loss of a very funny man. Flowers

Amazing director, such a talented man.

Very sad news. I know it’s terribly sexist, but I loved him playing screechy women.

thesunwillout · 22/01/2020 20:20

I agree! His voice was the same for each one though which made it funnier.
Him and Graham as women together 😆

Just seen Michael Palin on the news talking about him and crying when recalling their friendship, so touching to see, he will no doubt be greatly missed by his loved ones and fans, bless him

thesunwillout · 22/01/2020 20:34

Yes I saw that, very touching.

The greatest thing in life is to inspire friendship like that...
