A little happy brag...

Exactly a year ago my dd1 was admitted to hospital with a bmi of 13, after her on and off 8 year battle with anorexia finally became too much.
My beautiful girl , still working (she's a junior doctor..yes they let them work looking like skeletons) til she was admitted, had a tough time.

But she's stubborn and with finally the right support and a lot of determination she started to recover, going back part time for a while. A couple of weeks ago she took exams which will enable her to enter her next stage of training.

Yesterday she got her results and has not only passed but passed in the top 5% of the UK, which as doctors are ranked, means she will get the training job she wants, and importantly be able to stay in the same area where her support is.
And she has maintained an acceptable BMI, recognised her triggers and accepted help with them, and she is WELL.

I am just so happy that she is on the path she wants to be on and that my lovely caring girl is finally well again and while there may be blips at times neither she nor I think she will ever let the eating disorder take control again.

I'm just so happy for her and so proud of her because it has taken her a lot of work to get this far!

Mn has so many miserable threads, just the nature of humans needing to offload, so it was really lovely to read this and it made me smile. Well done her (and you).
