Recommend me a squash/cordial

The only squash I like is vimto. I really want to branch out but can’t find anything else that hits the spot.
I don’t like orange, summer fruits, apple and black current, anything elderflower.
I don’t mind citrus fruit flavours.
What else might I like that I haven’t tried....

Vimto "Remix"?

MonstranceClock · 21/01/2020 22:29

Ikea do a lingonberry cordial which i love.

Fumnudge · 21/01/2020 22:29

Ikea dingleberry (ok, maybe not exactly that word but similar). Red, fruity, sweet. Proper sugar as far as I can tell.

I love Roses Lime Cordial.

VioletVoice · 21/01/2020 22:33

Some of these sound really nice. I love mixing chilled carbonated water with cordial.

BruceAndNosh · 21/01/2020 22:33

Another vote for Robinsons Lime and mint.
Anyone tried others in that range?

ArtichokeAardvark · 21/01/2020 22:39

Bottlegreen Ginger and Lemongrass is delish and works well both as a cold or hot drink. Just don't breathe through your nose while you drink it - the ginger fumes are so strong your eyes will water!

Agree with others as well that the Robinson's Lime and Mint is good, but it needs to be really cold or else it gets a bit sickly.

Waitrose own brand Pink Grapefruit Hi-Juice is good, much prefer it to the Robinson's one with Barley which is seriously sweet and sticky.

CointreauVersial · 21/01/2020 22:40

Ooh, Pink Grapefruit squash was my pregnancy craving - I got through gallons! Have barely touched it since......

BonnesVacances · 21/01/2020 22:41

I second Waitrose's grapefruit hi-juice. No sweeteners. It's all I can find to drink these days that doesn't cost the earth.

SuperMeerkat · 21/01/2020 23:00

Roses lime cordial is delicious 😋

DartmoorChef · 21/01/2020 23:02

Waitrose high juice pink grapefruit. It has no sweeteners. And it goes great with gin and tonic too. 😁👍

DartmoorChef · 21/01/2020 23:03

I bought a soda stream so I could make my own fizzy drinks with nice cordials.

BodenGate · 21/01/2020 23:04

Robinson’s lemon is awesome! I also like pear, raspberry and cranberry squashes.

campion · 21/01/2020 23:06

M&S Scottish Raspberry Cordial. Nice mixed with apple juice and /or fizzy water. Also really nice as a hot drink.

SospanFrangipan · 21/01/2020 23:07

Robinson's peach & barley 😋😋

MAFIL · 21/01/2020 23:19

We mainly have Tesco's own double concentrated orange and pineapple, bought in industrial quantities at £1 per bottle as a bottle lasts approximately 53 seconds in this house.
But I love all the Belvoir cordials that my child free friends have in their house, especially the Raspberry and Lemon or Lemon and Mint And there is a Lime and something which is lovely too. When my children have left home, I will sit in the garden on warm evenings drinking expensive cordials out of expensive glasses, instead of glugging E numbers out of mugs Grin

ItsGoingTibiaK · 21/01/2020 23:24

Loads of suggestions here have sweeteners in and taste disgusting. ;-(

Ironically, I drink a lot more full sugar Coke since the sugar tax came in as it’s so hard to find nice cordials.

DartmoorChef · 21/01/2020 23:32

I absolutely detest any type of artificial sweeteners. They ruin the drink and I can taste them immediately.

It really pisses me off that there are so few decent cordials available now. I'm an adult and should be allowed to make my own shopping and diet choices. Personally I believe that artificial additives and sweeteners do far more damage to us than small amounts of sugar.

M&S pink grapefruit high juice. Lovely with ice cold still or sparkling water
