Dentist or Doctor?

Past couple of days the right side of my jaw has been slightly tender, i assumed it was my wisedom tooth as its grown crooked and i have had an infection there in the past due to the gumflap

But

Today ive woken up and the lymph nodes in both sides of my neck are swollen and its a lot more painful than yesterday

Now i dont know if it is an infection on my wisedom tooth or am i just unwell? Ive had a coldsore for the past couple of days too which is throwing me off

I dont know who to ring today, my dentist or my doctor

Why don’t you ring both and see who you can get an appointment with first?!

Terrible advice from @Redonion123. Don't do that!

GPs aren't trained or indemnified to treat dental issues. If you see your GP with a dental infection, they'll be unable to treat you - all they can do is tell you to see your dentist, and maybe offer some basic painkillers in the meantime. It would be a waste of a GP appointment.

If you think this is a dental infection, make a dentist's appointment. If they can't find a dental problem, you can then contact your GP for a medical appointment.

Dentist. It started in your jaw it's a dentist issue :) Your lymph nodes could well be up because of an infection in your tooth.

Dentist first. It sounds dental to me but even if not you need to rule out dental first

I don't think raised lymph nodes and a sore jaw is GP worthy yet tbh.
