Methotrexate...

So I found out a week ago today that my baby couldn't be found and was in an unknown location.

They recommended I have the Methotrexate jag which I had on Friday there... I has light bleeding and cramps since yesterday afternoon.. but had my bloods today and they had slightly increased. (Which I believe is normal)

Has anyone got any experiences of this?

Pains are like period type pains but manageable.. just want this all over with. I was completely exhausted today which would have been 72 hours after the jag.

I had methotrexate after my ectopic. I was shattered for about a week afterwards, and had very dry eyes. I’m sorry you are going through this. Rest up and take time to recover physically and emotionally.

Yes I’d had this and like PP I was exhausted for weeks after. No one warned me about it and I thought I was going a bit mad. I also had horrible shooting pains in my cervix but the doctors couldn’t work out what that was. Sorry about your pregnancy, take it easy and give yourself time to heal. I’m sure they told you this but you can’t ttc for 3 months after as it depletes folate.

Yeah they told me about all that. I just couldn't believe how exhausted I was... I'm hoping that my levels go down on my next appointment. How long did it take for your levels to go down?

I take methotrexate for a my RA weekly . 25mg . I feel for you the after and side effects are hurrendous and make you feel awful. The drug it's self is low dose chemotherapy . So remember not only are you experiencing one incredible trauma but your body is being put through another . I usually feel okay the day before I take my next dose . Rest up . The storm will pass then you will have time to focus on everything else apart from the crappy side effects of methotrexate

I couldn’t swear to it as it was a couple of years ago now, but I think it took about 2 months. Mine was unknown location too but the hcg was quite high. I hope yours goes down quickly. It’s really crappy Flowers
