Lasagne and garlic bread. DGS will smell beautifully Mediterranean tomorrow.

RiddleyW · 20/01/2020 18:37

Just a heads up, when DS was about one he ate loads of roasted beetroot and it resulted in a call from nursery who were alarmed at the contents of his nappy!

gerbo · 20/01/2020 18:39

Mushroom soup, garlic bread and cheese. DD made a valiant effort for a non mushroom eater and finished. Poor DS tried and retched! (It was delicious but not totally smooth so it was a texture thing)

Followed by a doorstep slice of lemon drizzle and chopped fruit.

Another one who's Dd eats in her nappy. We have a wood burner in kitchen so it's always warm.

Dh jokes whenever we go out to eat that she is confused as to why she and everyone else has clothes onGrin

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 20/01/2020 18:45

Haggis with sauteed red pepper and onions. You wouldn't believe the bollocking I got for that. DW thought DD was having a rectal bleed, and my DM told me under-3s insides would dissolve from the offal.

GinTonic123 · 20/01/2020 18:45

We had leftovers from the weekend. Three people got spaghetti and meatballs, two of us had cheese on toast.

CwtchesCuddles · 20/01/2020 18:47

Honey and mustard chicken (previously batch cooked) peas and new potatoes.

Beetroot risotto sounds interesting.....

Graphista · 20/01/2020 19:01

I'm doing a veggie bacon, mushroom and cheese omelette - been buying eggs in for ages as a nod to something remotely healthy (my appetite and motivation for cooking is dreadful at the moment) but I keep having to throw eggs out as not using them in time. Cos I've only been having the odd one boiled or fried and I've half a dozen sat there need using next few days.

Reading this thread (did someone else mention omelette?) hit on Omelette as an idea

Hot and spicy chicken wraps with salad and hash brown fries for us tonight

40somethingJBJ · 20/01/2020 19:06

We’ve had lamb and halloumi meatballs in a lovely garlicky tomato sauce, with pasta.

sparkli · 20/01/2020 19:06

We had pasta in a tomato and mascarpone sauce with lots of veg and smoked pancetta. Plenty left for lunches tomorrow. I also made a pot of curried butternut squash and sweet potato soup whilst I was in the kitchen.

Sexnotgender · 20/01/2020 19:14

Sweet potato and bean chilli with avocado and Greek yoghurt.

SargeantAngua · 20/01/2020 20:46

We had veggie lasagne - made my first ever bechemel sauce (though the tomato sauce was dolmio...)

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 20/01/2020 20:53

Yesterday’s roast chicken and salad. Boring.

PixieDustt · 20/01/2020 20:57

Chicken shish kebab with pittas.
Home made garlic sauce and chips 😋

lucysmam · 20/01/2020 21:14

@CwtchesCuddles your chicken sounds tasty, would you share your recipe please?

We had frozen pies, home made chips, and beans. Not very exciting tonight but what dd2 said she fancied :)

EggysMom · 20/01/2020 21:19

Our 10yo autistic son licked the wooden spoon when DH was making (adult) chilli last week. He liked the taste going in. He didn't so much like the spicy poops that resulted Grin

MrsPear · 20/01/2020 22:42

Roast pork, potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots and Brussel sprouts. Apple crumble and custard for pudding. H brought a couple of cousins home too so I made salad and pickled vegetable plate with cheese for their sides instead of cooked vegetables - much more their thing.

Bluesheep8 · 21/01/2020 06:22

We had Jamie Oliver Greek style cauliflower and veg stew from his VEG book. First thing I've made from it. Nothing to write home about. By any means Confused

whitebowls · 21/01/2020 16:36

Chicken fajitas tonight. Lots of guacamole, salsa, black beans and sour cream as toppings. Delicious.
