Nervous about doctors appointment

So I have an appointment in 3 weeks as I have been ttc for 16 months now and no joy. In the past 3 months my periods have gone from being 4/5 days long to 2 days long, which has spurred me on to book and appointment. Does anyone know the procedure/tests a doctor will do in regards to my fertility? I’m a very anxious person and like to know what’s expected before I go. Thanks x

I went for similar reasons and my gp checked my height, weight, blood pressure and done some blood tests (iirc for thyroid and hormones). My husband also went and was sent for some blood tests. They came back fine and we were then referred to the fertility clinic. Good luck! You'll be glad you went sooner rather than later because if you do continue to struggle TTC then there is a bit of a waiting list for IVF.
