If you don’t like milk what do you have for breakfast?

Since I’ve been pregnant I find that milk makes me feel sick. I already have soya/oat milk so it’s not the dairy. I do like eggs but sometimes don’t fancy them or want something different. Any ideas?

Maybe try almond milk it has a thinner consistency.
You could have toast with different toppings and fruit, crossiants, fruit & yoghurt, overnight oats, eggs, beans on toast, bacon.

I switched to oat milk as I love cereal but hate cows milk. I think oat milk has a better carbon footprint than almond milk and imho a nicer taste.

Hmm maybe a bacon sandwich now and then. I need something filling otherwise I feel sick! I think it’s just the milky ness that makes me feel sick so don’t think it’d matter which kind it is!

Toast with loads of butter, jam, lemon curd

Sausage & beans

Egg on toast (poached, scrambled, fried) or an omelette

Ham & cheese sandwich

Toast. Fruit. Overnight oats with yoghurt.

In my first trimesters the only things I could stomach were things with protein.

So I’d have eggs or thick full fat yoghurt with hazelnuts.

Not much else for 12 weeks straight.

TigerBreadAddict · 20/01/2020 09:15

Ham sandwich or ham toastie or ham on croissant
Mushrooms on toast

I know what you mean, I often can’t stomach something creamy first thing: dairy or non. I also am not a fan of something sweet first thing so most pastries are out too.

Toast
When I have cereal, I put plain yoghurt on it (or eat it dry, but most people think that is weird and it only works with a few types of cereals)
When I was pregnant, I ate ready salted crisps (only one expensive brand) for breakfast because they were the only thing I could eat in the morning!

Also went off milky stuff at the beginning, ok now later on in pregnancy.

Peanut butter and toast
Boiled eggs with toast, glass orange juice
Scrambled egg on weekends

Basically alternated between them the first 4 months.
