How loud should white noise be?

Hello,

My DD is 3 months old and her sleeping has gone out the window so im seeing every hour.

I've decided to try white noise on our Alexa but I'm not sure how loud it should be? At the moment it sounds like it's raining with the window open is that correct.

Additionally if it's going to work will I see improvement s straight away or does it take a while

Thank you

I'm not sure how baby decibels but I think it has to be loud enough for them to be able to hear it over their own crying .

Should be alexa volume 10. Good luck, DS is 16 months and I remember that period very vividly indeed.
