Norovirus isolation period

Can someone kindly explain this to me. I know it's 48 hours but I'm not entirely sure from when. Last sickness? Last diarrhoea? Other symptoms?

DS stopped being sick Thursday morning but was tired all day Thurs and Friday. Yesterday he is fine, running around, full of beans. He's not going to the toilet more frequently than usual but it is still diarrhoea when he goes. I don't know if I'm supposed to keep him off school tomorrow too.

I have been free of both sickness and diarrhoea since Friday night but my insides are still constantly churning over, although now relatively painless. Should I still isolate myself tomorrow?

Guidelines state 48 hours from last episode of D or V. So if he is still having loose stools he is not yet clear.

These are the guidelines followed in the NHS.

OK thanks. Long weekend for all of us then.

On a positive, I've lost weight this week. Grin
