Anyone else 39 weeks and fed up?

So. I’m 39+1 with DC2 (girl). DC1 (boy) came at 37+2, so forgive me universe for having been prepared in advance and now genuinely believing this won’t happen.

Have been having marvellous period cramps for last 2 weeks.

Have been having strong painful even Braxton Hicks every day, and v painful every few days.

Was 1 fucking cm after major pains last Sunday.

Lost big mucus plug on Wednesday.

Baby been engaged for 3 weeks now.

I have a stinking head cold that DS has v kindly brought back from pre school. He has recovered with the immune system of a standard 4 year old and i indeed have not. My nose is stuffed and my throat itchy.

I am done.

Anyone else in 39 week stage and fed up?

Oh and let’s not forget the gallons of raspberry leaf tea and/or raspberry leaf tablets + the evening primrose oil up you know where + sitting on nothing but the birthing ball doing hip circles and bouncing the already engaged baby and even having forced myself to do the needful with spouse - nothing works. And curries have no effect on me as culturally I was swimming in amniotic fluid spiced with chilies and spices since I was a foetus and chillies including habanero have zero impact on me as part of my regular diet. All I get is random painful Braxton Hicks + period cramps + show + baby is engaged.

Yup me! Am 38+6 according to the mw but 39+2 according to my natural cycles app.
DS came at 39+4, I thought 2nd babies usually came a week or two earlier!

I'm struggling to stay awake in the day and DS is over enthusiastic in cuddling my tummy!

Ah sorry to hear that. I was in exactly the same position with my dc1&2! I fully expected 2 to come 3 weeks early and was horrified to still be pregnant by 39! Mucous plug gone, 3 cm for TWO WEEKS! It was hell.

BUT. the plus side was that all that "prep" made the labour INSANELY quick and easy. Every cloud. (And whoever said braxton Hickes don't hurt deserves to be put straight...)

Thank you. With DC1 it was 35 fucking hours of back to back labour which failed to progress till b end - waters went at start he got infected all sorts. Hopefully with this ones slow burn something is halening in body and body will have mercy on me and my head cold will help me sneeze her out.
