Looking at Holidays in Sicily. Anyone been and have recommendations?

We're also looking at Sicily, so cannot recommend anywhere, but why would you want to go to a country famed for its food and be all inclusive?! It isn't really the done thing in Sicily. Self catering or b&b is the norm.
