20 year age gap between children.

I'm 37, 13 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first child will be 20 years old when this little one is born.

I'm really excited and entire family (including DS) is thrilled and happy. I occassionally have moments of 'omg I'm starting all over again' but it soon passes.

Anyone else with huge age gaps that could share their story/experience with me?

I have 21 years between my oldest and my youngest, although I also have 2 in between too.

They are very close but it's not the usual sibling relationship I suppose, the older one (age 29) is much more motherly in some aspects. Or like a really close fun aunty. Although none of these words seem to fit quite right. It's a wonderful warm, loving relationship and they are very close. As they all are.

The youngest (who is now 8) had a great day yesterday going out with the 2nd oldest (26) and her boyfriend.

It was like doing it all again for the first time in some ways and more so for you without the extra in between.

Sometimes, in the toddler years for instance it did feel like I had been doing it forever - and in a way I have been, and there are definitely times now when I see friends coming out of the years with young children and having more freedom. But I wouldn't change any of them for the world. One thing to watch out for, is for them to be the doted on youngest and a little spoiled. *looks at own behaviour

Enjoy the baby cuddles again. Next time for me will be as a granny. Smile
