It’s a song that I always think is simply red, and so so many others, voice identical to mick hucknell but it’s not them and it will keep me awake all night! I know mumsnet will pull through 🤞🏻

It’s very vague!! It’s doing my head in! It’s old, simply red era I guess! It’s a fairly long title, and the title is the words of the chorus! It’s a popular well known song, I fully believe many people would think it was simply red it’s that similar! God I feel like an idiot but it’s driving me mad!!!

I think it’s like a love song but fairly upbeat!

The only thing I can think of is 'Fairground' but that one actually is Simply Red, even though it doesn't sound like any of their other songs. But that's kind of the opposite of what you have described!

This has to be the most insanely vague OP of this sort that I've ever seen on MN. How can you not know any of the lyrics if you know that the song has a long title which is part of the chorus?

I can't think of any well-known singers from that era who sounded exactly the same as Michlk Hucknall. He's very distinctive, and there was much less of a homogenous "male singer" voice than there is now. Are you sure it wasn't actually a Simply Red song?
