What's the fugliest thing you've seen in a bathroom?

For reference, fugly can mean either fucking ugly or funny ugly. For this this thread, it's the latter!

For me, it was a cross-eyed teddy in a crocheted dress. It went over the toilet paper like those creepy dolls in everyone's gran's houses years ago (why were people so afraid to see loo roll?), and dear god that teddy looked like it had seen things...

The entire bathroom in our student rent. Primrose yellow suite, orange carpet, black and white formica, turquoise plastic mirror and toothbrush holder, and fushia, turquoise and pea-green paisley-patterned wallpaper.

My mum said 'don't have a bath with a hangover'.

A toilet brush. Grin

@thequeenofsandwich

I didn't actually use it, but I would imagine it's like wiping with a Brillo pad. I'm not sure it's flushable either.

A green holographic picture of Jesus.

It was in a house I went to view. The room had basic fixtures (bath, loo, sink) but otherwise was totally empty apart from this little green face that seemed to follow you around the room.

Nothing against religious artwork if that's your thing, but this was rubbish quality, an odd colour and being holographic just added to the weirdness.

I didn't rent the house.

I stayed at a guest house that was a time capsule. The bathroom was decorated with keloid scar pink carpet and walls, with matching frilly accessories made from Brentford Nylons sheets. They included a toilet roll cover shaped like a Spanish dancer that had the top half of a doll jammed in it, and a frou frou toilet seat cover completely covered in frills with a decorative frilly edge. There was no air conditioning or window, and it stank of decades of Jeyes fluid. You had to hold your breath when you had a pee.

My neighbour's bathroom has tiles...and wallpaper. If this is normal, fair enough but it's the only wallpapered bathroom I've ever seen. It's a wonder it doesn't peel away.

A surprise dog in the bathroom when I unexpectedly needed a poo at a friends house. He'd been hiding under a cupboard and came out as I was going. Very excited/ jumping up at me on the loo barking.
Very embarrassed to come out together, after 5+mins. Didn't know what to say to friend.

Dazedandconfused10 · 18/01/2020 23:45

The carpet (that for a start!) That went all the way up the side of the bath...

When I was a student. Landlord had carowted the bathroom...a white carpet!! Which wasnt very white. He had ckearly bought too much because as well as the fitted carpet there was a loose layer on top.

Then one of the housemates dropped out of college and found a job as a coal-man. Gritty coal dust everywhere. You can imagine the state the carpet was in.

starfishmummy · 18/01/2020 23:55

Carpeted!!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/01/2020 00:02

When dh was looking for his first flat, he viewed one that was nice, but u remarkable, until he got to the bathroom.

It was carpeted in thick, dark purple carpet - which extended up the walls and the sides of the bath, and across the ceiling!

He didn’t make an offer.

A guest got a bit of a shock when they used my parents’ bathroom - he was on the loo when the lid of the laundry basket, directly opposite him, slowly lifted, to reveal a pair of eyes looking at him. It turned out the cat had got into the laundry basket - she did this quite often, but usually the lid didn’t close. This time it had, and she gave our guest quite a surprise when she woke up!

@CassidyStone - that’s a Sara Shakeel print, I’ve got it framed in our loo!

butwhateverfor · 19/01/2020 04:41

A festive bog seat cover with Santa’s face, in an unwashable fabric.
