What do you keep in your bag?

HforHavana · 16/01/2020 14:01

It's only really the last 6 months or so that iv used an every day bag. Before that, I would just keep my card in the back of my phone case and leave everything else in the car.

I always find it interesting what people have in their handbags for some reasonGrin

So I now have a little over the shoulder bag which I keep my keys, a little diary, Vaseline, perfume and a lip gloss. My phone is always in my hand.

What do you keep in yours as I feel like I am missing something as everyone has these big bags!

Keys
Purse with cards in as well
Spare glasses
A diary
Several pens
Tissues
Folding shopping bag
Chewing gum
Ibuprofen
Random assorted bits of paper, shopping lists and receipts
Paperwork relating to committees I'm on

HforHavana · 16/01/2020 14:08

Ooo, pens, chewing gum and ibuprofen/paracetamol are a good one! Off to hunt for some to put in the bag!

Loads...

purse, keys, phone, book, small first aid kit, small wash bag with sample toothpaste, toothbrush, lip balm, moisturiser hair brush, painkillers and hair bobbles

bus pass

small packet of crayons and mini colouring book for DS

A couple of pens

And an assorted pile of "stuff" depending on what DCs hand me at anyone time (currently consisting of an anime dvd, half a pack of jelly beans and a fruit shoot lid which is apparently very precious and must not be thrown away!

Too much shit I don’t need tbh.
Purse and keys are necessary.
Then hairbrush, mirror, hand sanitiser, pen, emergency tampon, mini deodorant, hand cream, nail file, wrist support (tendonitis), load of old receipts.
There’s probably more crap but that’s just off the top of my head

listsandbudgets · 16/01/2020 14:12

Oh and a small plastic dog no one wishes to claim responsibility for but I do not have the heart to get rid of!

What do you keep in your bag?
TheBananaInPyjamas · 16/01/2020 14:12

Glasses
Ibuprofen etc
Hand sanitiser

My bag is a disaster zone. Let me check it out.
OK, so I have got:
2 library books
Umbrella
Nailvarnish
Phone
Pen
Antibiotics
Urine test kit (!)
Loose change
DHs library card
A disgusting morass of receipts and train tickets

My cash card is in my coat pocket with my keys, a Waterstones loyalty card and my gym card.

WillingSpringTime · 16/01/2020 14:20

Purse, keys, phone, blister plasters, paracetamol, piriton, perfume, mini deodorant, spare phone charger, lip balm, sunglasses, pens, Filofax diary, tissues, hand cream (I can't stand dry hands, makes my teeth itch!), anti bacterial gel, headphones, sanitary products, mints and wet wipes.

I think that is it. Occasionally i might find something random in there. I never carry any makeup with me which is odd as on more than one occasion, I have needed it! Maybe I should add some of that to my bag...

TheChosenTwo · 16/01/2020 14:20

Hardly anything (bad back).
Purse, keys, phone. Usually an apple and my lunchbox in the morning but I’ve eaten that now.

gh621 · 16/01/2020 14:31

Oh I forgot lip balm, tissues, ibuprofen, polos and portable charger

TheBananaInPyjamas · 16/01/2020 14:39

Purse, phone, some kind of reading material (kobo or actual book, I'm not fussy), pen, diary, umbrella, tissues, keys, hypo supplies, a pencil case that has a spare infusion set for my insulin pump and a spare insulin pen in it, a reusable shopping bag and a tiny tin of maldon salt.

I clean receipts and random dog poo bags out fairly regularly.

FiddleFigs · 16/01/2020 14:52

Purse
Keys
Lip balm
Lipstick
Tissues
Earphones

My handbag is deliberately quite small - any larger and I just fill it with stuff.

When I go into the office, I have a separate backpack for my laptop - it also contains a book, umbrella, keepcup, pencil case, security pass, water bottle and paracetamol.
