Moving to new town in another county- tips

Apologies if this is in the wrong area- fairly new here. OH and I are looking at moving out of London to a seaside town. Mainly for a quieter life, bigger garden, and to live near the sea. Although we have visited his parents many times in a neighbouring town, we have never spent much time in the place we are looking at buying. Any tips on things to do before committing to moving to a completely different town and area to our own? We have no children, so schools aren't an issue.

A friend of mine moved a few hundred miles away.
She joined the area Facebook groups to find out what was going on locally, activities, classes etc. She got chatting to people before moving!
It’s also a good way of getting recommendations for local trades if you need any work doing in your new home Smile

Yes, having a new home to do up is a great way of getting to know the community In a seaside town. Use local shops and traders and you'll soon know all the gossip!

I hadn't thought of a facebook group for the area, thanks both for your suggestions.
