Any recommendations please?

I like Linda McCartney ones

Spieluhr · 15/01/2020 20:17

Linda McCartney's Mozzarella 1/4 burgers are good if you're looking for a meat alternative based burger.

Ylvamoon · 15/01/2020 20:20

Make it yourself? Try and use Couscous or Kidney Beans ...

littlemeitslyn · 15/01/2020 20:21

🙄

FlamingoAndJohn · 15/01/2020 20:23

Another vote for Linda McCartney.

Cyberworrier · 15/01/2020 20:24

I like Vivera ones- and those Linda Macca mozzarella ones mentioned above. I like to add all the accoutrements of a proper burger, eg plastic cheese, gherkins, salad etc to make it more of a burger experience. Hardly ever have burgers and now really want one!

JoJoSM2 · 15/01/2020 20:24

I love the Beyond Meat ones. I haven’t managed to find them to buy for home but some local restaurants offer them.

Isbutteracarb · 15/01/2020 20:25

I second the Linda McCartney 1/4ers, with or without mozzarella - they're amazing!

MakeLemonade · 15/01/2020 20:26

Beyond Burger - even my meat eating husband loves these!

Namestranger · 15/01/2020 20:27

The beyond meat ones are bloody amazing. Omni DP prefers them to meat now!

RedRosie · 15/01/2020 20:29

JoJo - you can get the Beyond Meat burgers from Wholefoods if you are anywhere near one? Expensive, but very good.

We also like the LM ones. Or something homemade, or griddled halloumi ...

(Hungry now)

Spieluhr · 15/01/2020 20:31

Larger Tesco stores sell the Beyond Meat burgers.

StrawberryJam200 · 15/01/2020 20:38

We all (inc fussy DD!) love the Quorn Chicktastic ones (used to be called Chicken Style).

Copperleaves · 15/01/2020 20:40

Those are my favourite strawberryjam. They are like breaded chicken.
It really depends what you want OP - something like a real meat burger? Or a spicy thing full of beans and veg? Or a nut burger?
Some, but not all, of these are vegan too

fruitandbarley · 15/01/2020 20:41

Thank you everyone. I shall add to my shopping list.

Tesco spicy beanburger if you like them hot. Delicious and actually spicy!

cravingmilkshake · 15/01/2020 20:44

In fearne cottons happy Vegan book, she uses Jack fruit!!

Biscuitsandteaplease · 15/01/2020 20:54

Another vote for Linda McCartney ones! So recently went veggie and I love them and genuinely could hardly tell the difference

pontiouspilates · 15/01/2020 21:00

I really like Icelands 'No Bull' vegan burgers.

motorcyclenumptiness · 15/01/2020 21:13

I used to really like Goodlife nut burgers but they're fiendishly difficult to find.

QueenCherlene · 15/01/2020 21:14

Aldi's sweet potato burgers are my favourite. It's like eating a giant falafel.

JoJoSM2 · 15/01/2020 21:16

@RedRosie Wholefoods, of course Grin Thank you! I’ll pick some up.

kjhkj · 15/01/2020 21:16

ds1 has just gone veggie and we had the linda mcCartney mozarella burgers last night. DS2 didn't know they were veggie (since hed then have refused to eat them) and genuinely thought they were normal beef burgers

safariboot · 15/01/2020 21:46

Lidl have some nice frozen ones. Vegetable, spicy bean, and cauliflower burgers. That's for a "veggie burger" taste as opposed to fake meat.

supermariio · 15/01/2020 21:53

Linda McCartney 1/4lb Mozzarella are definitely the best. I've had one tonight Smile
