Late thirties, have spent the last 15 years in early years education and have been home full time for the past 6 months...Im thinking about retraining over the next year or 2 so that I'm ready to start work again when my youngest starts school.
I loved my work but in the last year or 2 have felt I'd enjoy a less people orientated job 😂 I'm good at working on my own, really enjoy order, attention to detail, research etc. In school, I was quite good at Accountancy but that's nearly 20 years ago now! On the other hand, I think I'd also enjoy a job outside....
Anyone switched fields completely at this age? Any suggestions much appreciated!

I worked in early years for a long time then retrained. I now work in government research. I still get to be hands on in a community role but can retreat back to my desk when I need to lol.

I like the sound of that @numberonecook - the best of both worlds! What did you retrain in/as?
