14 year old daughter refusing school

At the beginning of last term my 14 year old decided she didn’t want to go to school anymore. She just doesn’t like it, despite having a good group of friends and being academically bright. This has led to truancy, self harm and last week being hospitalised for taking 2 MDMA tablets. She is under a counsellor, and has a very loving supportive family. Today she has again point blank refused to go to school. So she is in her room, on Instagram and Xbox. Of course I should deny her access to make being at home boring. However, she has said if I do this ‘she will leave the house’. I am at my wits end. She now has a social worker, but finds him ‘dull’. I cannot discipline her for fear of her running away. Last week she was found semi conscious having overdosed. I have no power or control and am close to breaking point.

Home education? There are also options where you can get her tutored at home ...ask the social worker about this. Sorry you're going through this.x

Is she being bullied? Can you think of any significant thing that has happened that’s triggered this chain of events?
