Shock . The working conditions lead to it dont they...

SameOldHorrorStory · 14/01/2020 11:22

Not sure why it’s shocking... maybe to people that haven’t worked in a factory before. Just because you as the customer may have paid a lot for an item you care about doesn’t mean the (minimum wage) worker is going to care about it too.

I meant ‘you’ as in the general ‘you’, not you OP

I don't like Hermes. They never seem to give a good service. DPD are good when I've used them.

InOtterNews · 14/01/2020 13:18

This gives me palpitations from a Health & Safety point of view. (Yes, I need to get out more)

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 14/01/2020 13:33

When I buy online from an independent trader, I always ask "who's your courier?" Anyone who uses Hermes or Yodel doesn't get the order.

Nikhedonia · 14/01/2020 14:58

I hate Yodel or Hermes. DPD are so much better.

Hermes have always been like this 6 or 7 years ago, I used to work next door and the drivers in tatty cars would pull up, get a trolley of parcels, chuck them all over the ground (even if it was raining) to sort them into their car in some sort of order. Then they'd drive off, without checking they were actually driving over some of the guy next door's parcels
