Still awake, so I thought it would be nice to do one of those OMG I’m still awake threads.

No little one keeping me up tonight, but when I was ready to sleep, my gall bladder kicked off and I can’t persuade the old body to sleep

Why are you awake in the quiet early hours?

Anxiety and insomnia Sad
Got to get up at 8.30 to get a doctors appointment and I'm sure I'll only have had 3hrs sleep by then!

Oh gosh. Insomnia is dreadful. I’m going to try and be really active later to see if that will get me to sleep.

2 week old who I'm worried has colic.

whoami24 · 14/01/2020 03:40

Had a nap earlier on and now can't sleep

Bloodybridget · 14/01/2020 03:41

I don't need a reason to be awake, I always am at some point. Quite used to it and don't mind at all, unless it lasts more than a couple of hours. But wakefulness because of worries, illness or poorly children is horrible.

Eminybob · 14/01/2020 03:44

My 13 month old thinks he is a newborn again and has been up hourly all night.
I need to get him off the breast and learning how to self settle but I don’t know where to start. I’m on my knees with tiredness at the moment Sad

EarringsandLipstick · 14/01/2020 03:47

Mixture of sinus pain & worry about a work presentation tomorrow. I've to leave early to catch a train & have begged exH to take kids early & bring them to school & I'm so nervous he'll turn up late or not at all. (He has form).

EarringsandLipstick · 14/01/2020 03:48

Sorry Eminybob that's so hard 💐

JudgeRindersMinder · 14/01/2020 03:55

I’m on nightshift 🙄

bananahood · 14/01/2020 03:57

DD2 woke for a feed nearly two hours ago, she'd changed, has a huge feed and is just staring at me like "now what?". Thank goodness she's cute. Go too sleep!

Fantababy · 14/01/2020 04:27

9 month old hasn't slept for more than 20 minutes at a stretch. So neither of I. Just come back to bed and DH is snoring. He acts so wounded if I mention it that it's easier not to. It'll be a long day tomorrow. 3 year old has a nasty cough too so hasn't had a good night either.

willothewispa · 14/01/2020 05:21

Because I always am, go to bed about midnight, can't sleep, eventually fall asleep and wake at 3am or don't sleep until about 5am. It's the norm now but I worry about what it's doing to my health.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 14/01/2020 05:26

Insomnia here too.

It’s shit.

user764329056 · 14/01/2020 05:26

Am the same willo, it’s so hard to break the cycle

tinytemper66 · 14/01/2020 05:55

I am in Spain with work. Unable to sleep and have been awake since half 2. I may have dozed for an hour between 4 and 5. Waiting for my colleagues to wake up so I can have some breakfast! I am right by the lifts and the noise from the wind plus my age means a poor sleep!

willothewispa · 14/01/2020 06:44

It's tough, I know it's so unhealthy but you can't turn sleep on. If only.

Chocolatemice · 14/01/2020 09:39

Got to sleep at 4. Thank you for joining me. I wish I had tips on how to get the baby to self-soothe. I have heard that its just one of those things that happens when your child is ready.

I know its a massive no no nowadays, but one of the things that helped me was taking lo to bed and sleeping with her on me. When she got hungry, I just moved her.
