Inoffensive smelling hair gel for ASD boy?

My son can't cope with strong smelling products, but really wants to get some gel for his hair. The only fragrance free one I have found was nearly £20 a tube - and if he takes to it, I would be buying it forevermore. Any recommendations for a palatable gel he can use but won't break the bank with continued use? Thanks

The cheap ones from the pound shop (in massive tubs!) used to be fragrance free?

Usually the clay-based wax ones are more neutral in smell than a gel.

VO5 matt clay doesn’t smell too bad, either, though there’s a very slight smell.
