Newborn teething

My DS2 is 7 weeks now and was born with 4 teeth already broken through his guns. Talked to health visitor and all she said was have to wait until old enough for teething gel/powder. Just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and if they have had any success. Info... He won't take a dummy, he is breastfed so being attached to me helps, but if I take him away from me after he's finished he's historic again (if he wakes up) . He has no health issues.
