Is anyone else affected by the weather?

Up in north Aberdeenshire on the coast . Wind is currently 72 mph and we can actually feel the house shaking with it (wooden council house), neighbours have been out putting metal bars on windows last night as they’re concerned they’ll just collapse inwards . Road is full of bins, bikes, etc .

Have never experienced wind like this before, the sea has swelled too to street level.

Wondering if any other mumsnetters are also feeling the weather a bit ?!

Yes, it's chucking down here, somethings just gone in the garden, probably the fence, we are near Hereford.

Hi! I’m Aberdeenshire too - although not on the coast and our wind is howling but only 45 according to met office app. I made sure the bins were safe at the side of the house, but I’m worried about the 12ft trampoline even though it’s tied to the fence!

We had a ferocious hale storm earlier. I opened the back door and my utility room filled with hale. I’m hoping my poly tunnel will survive. Mid Wales.

I'm in Glasgow.
Earlier today collecting dd from Nursery the wind and rain was bloody awful.
On the way home our street was full of flying wheelie bins.
Home and straight into jammies, heating on, and a big bowl of homemade soup.

Up near John o'groats seriously windy here, hoping all the roof tiles stay on!

CormoranStrike · 13/01/2020 18:38

Central Scotland here, not particularly near the coast, it’s blowing a hoolie.

Clangus00 · 13/01/2020 18:57

It's been pretty bad here in Ayrshire.
Haven't heard of any structural damage yet though.

AragonsGirl · 13/01/2020 18:59

Same area as you @ohohohmerrychristmas
It’s horrendous! We’re right on the coast too and it’s been wild since about 3pm

Chipsahoy · 13/01/2020 19:01

Horrible here too. Just had a hail storm that seemed to come down sidewards.
My Dh was out shopping and didn't take a coat "it wasn't raining much when I left". He's dripping wet now.
