Audiobooks for 8 year old

My soon to be 8 year old DD gets very travel sick in the car and bored. She can't play with toys, screens, read books as it makes her feel worse.

Can you recommend some good audiobooks for her to listen to? I'd prefer if the the narrator speaks with a British accent.

What types of books does she enjoy?

My children played the Roal Dahl ones to death at that age - they're narrated by different actors so really fabulous.

Also, the first few books of Harry Potter narrated by Stephen Fry.

We get lots from the library in the summer holidays. David Walliams are good. As are the BBC adaptations, we liked Moonfleet and The Secret Garden. The charity shops often have lots in and more choice. If you're after CDs that is. If you get Audible they have all the Harry Potters on there, free one month trial.

Her favourites at the moment are Roald Dahl, Rescue Zoo, How to train your Dragon. We did start Harry Potter, but she wasn't very interested in it and didn't finish it.
That's a good idea about charity shops, thanks.
